Coordinated and designed by Feisty Flowers, this beautiful inspiration at The Covenant at Murray Mansion featured many talented vendors, including Makayla Mashlan Photography, Ward 3 Media, Adeline Margaret, White Dress Bridal Boutique, DuBois Formalwear, Belviso Co., Gertrude and Evelyn Vintage Rentals, Windy City Linens, and Greige Patisserie.

For this wedding design, Adeline Margaret created a stationery suite of soft shapes and vintage details. She strove for effortless, relaxed elegance, choosing to mix arches, scallops, and simple motifs like bows on white and pastel paper stocks. She further softened the pieces by using colored fonts and keeping the backgrounds minimalistic.
Adeline Margaret also provided the signage, which included a linen welcome sign, contour-cut name cards, and a modern-styled menu.
The historic Covenant at Murray Mansion was a perfect venue for the intimate ceremony and opulent reception spaces. A grand staircase was a romantic way for the couple to enter the ceremony, which took place in the beautifully restored 1874 mansion. Featuring white walls adorned with moldings, a marble fireplace, and a decorative ceiling, warm, clean lighting from chandeliers filled the room, mingling with tall windows and an artful backdrop of candles and asymmetrical flower arrangements.
In addition to coordination and design, Feisty Flowers also provided the stunning bouquet and floral arrangements for this vintage, ethereal wedding editorial. Given their floral expertise, the design originated from a romantic color palette composed of lush, boldly-colored and pastel blooms. Vintage decor and details were then added, with an emphasis on delicate patterns and plenty of airy, open space.
The bride was styled in an ethereal a-line gown from White Dress Bridal Boutique. Featuring tulle layers, a structured and pleated v-neck bodice, and optional tulle bows placed over shoulder straps, the dress was a graceful and versatile fashion choice. A floor-length tulle veil was also added for ceremony photos and artful compositions captured by Makayla Mashlan Photography.
Belviso Co. accentuated the bride's natural beauty with lightly shimmered eye-shadow and subtle smokey accents towards the lashline and outer lid. Her cheeks were also (lightly) blushed, and her lips a romantic, natural shade of pink. For her hair, Belviso Co. blended vintage and modern. Starting with a center part, her hair was curled in loose waves, and secured into an effortless, voluminous half-updo with stylish curtain bangs framing her face.
Makayla Mashlan Photography leaned into her signature light, organic editing style to memorialize the design's authentic colors--as well as black and white edits reminiscent of old film stills. She appreciated how the pastels were both bright and moody, making the rainy outdoor transition feel cinematic and nostalgic. The models were posed with intention, aiming to draw out gentle emotion and genuine joy couples feel on their wedding day.
Dubois Formalwear showcased a medium brown suit with a matching vest, a crisp white undershirt, and accessorized with a white tie and dark brown shoes.
Greige Patisserie crafted a white monochrome, two-tiered cake for the design. Frosting was piped into both layers in complex motifs and patterns, adding dimension and charm to the dessert table. The cake was then placed on a glass pedestal, making it a sweet centerpiece surrounded by joyful blooms.
The reception took place in the Covenant at Murray Mansion's fully renovated church reception space. The interior boasts soaring ceilings, stained glass windows, a wooden dance floor, a bar, and a brick accent wall. The venue provided some rentals, while Gertrude and Evelyn Vintage Rentals and Windy City Linens assisted in transforming the tablescape and ceremony spaces into a cozy, vintage atmosphere.
Including a vintage 911 Porsche was the perfect way to wrap up the styled shoot. The couple braved a light sprinkle of rain to grace us all with a dreamy dose of drama and old Hollywood glamour.
